Obituary for Jamie Trent
Jamie Lee Trent, 58, of Council Bluffs, Iowa formerly of Menlo, passed away December 6, 2017 at the Methodist Jennie Edmundson Hospital in Council Bluffs. The family will have a gathering which will be held from 11:00 A.M. to 3:00 P.M. Saturday, December 23, 2017 at the Menlo Community Building.

Jamie was born March 5, 1959 to Lawrence and Linda (Dolson) Trent in Des Moines, Iowa. Later that year Lawrence and Jamie settles in Menlo where he attended Stuart-Menlo High School, graduating with the class of 1977. After high school, Jamie worked for his dad at Trent Upholstery in Menlo for man years. In 1991, Jamie met Paula Miller and in 1995, Jamie moved to Winterset and opened J&P Upholstery. In 2007, Jamie moved to Council Bluffs and worked in the maintenance department at Tyson Foods. He was known to all as a heck-of-a-pool player. Most people that spoke of him would say he was one of the best they’d ever seen or played against. Jamie loved to play pool and was even nationally ranked in the late 1980’s. After moving to Council Bluffs, Jamie frequented the Hard Luck Saloon to play pool and he considered them family and in turn the Hard Luck Saloon family embraced him.

Jamie is preceded in death by his father, Lawrence Trent, step-mother, Barbara “Bobbie” Trent and his grandparents.

He leaves behind, his four siblings, Kevin of Fontanelle, Devin of Adair, Meleesa of Menlo, Jared of Stuart; nephew, Wyatt and a host of friends all of whom will miss him greatly. (Cremation Service By: Johnson Family Funeral Home & Crematory).
