He went to trade school to become a body and fender man. That career lasted 25 years. He did scrapping most all of his life until about age 70. He also worked at Adair Co. He was a member of the Stuart Friends Church. Archie loved the Lord and His word! He loved trains. He loved to work on lawn mowers and small engines and tools. He could fix almost anything. He loved to do woodworking in later years and built many things without patterns. He built the small barn that sits at 920 N. Main and did it all by himself! Archie and Viola took many vacations and one day road trips. He loved taking care of mowing his lawn. He loved all his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Archie and Viola adopted two granddaughters and raised them as their very own.
He was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, many aunts and uncles, and mother and father in law, Elmo and Eva Exline.
