Betty Fay Fugle, 86 of Stuart passed away on Thursday, March 27, 2025 at the Community Care Center in Stuart. Memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, April 4th at the Stuart-Mt. Vernon United Methodist Church. Burial will be at South Oak Grove Cemetery in Stuart. Luncheon and time of fellowship will follow the committal service at the church. Betty Fay Fugle was born on December 8, 1938 in Taylor County, Iowa. She was the fifth of five children born to John Harvey and Phoebe Fay Gaddis. Betty was united in marriage to Jack Fugle on November 8, 1956. He preceded her in death on November 5, 2017.
Betty graduated from Drake University with a degree in Education. She was a long-time first grade educator in the Stuart-Menlo / West Central School District. Betty was a lifetime member of the Stuart United Methodist Church. She was a member of PEO and Delta Kappa Gamma Society International.
Betty is preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Alyene and Maxine; brothers, Francis and Duane; and husband, Jack.
She is survived by numerous extended family members and friends. We will forever hold the precious memories of Betty in our hearts. May she be at peace in God’s loving care.
