Betty Jean (Cassady) Stahl, 72 of Stuart passed away on Tuesday, May 13, 2025 at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines. Visitation will be held from 1-2 PM on Monday, May 19th at the Johnson Family Funeral Home in Earlham. Funeral service will follow at 2 PM. Burial will be at Panther Creek Cemetery, rural Adel. A potluck picnic will follow at the Kinnick-Feller Park in Adel. Memorials may be made to the family and sent in care of Johnson Family Funeral Home, PO Box 246, Stuart, IA 50250. Betty was born May 31, 1952 to Bonnie May (Stonehocker) and Earl Gordon Cassady. She worked at Rivol Manufacturing in Albany, Missouri for ten years until it closed. She then moved to Adel, Iowa where she worked at Adel Acres for two years. She then moved to Earlham, where she worked at Earlham Manor earning her CMA. Then in 1989 she moved to Knoxville, working at Griffens until her retirement in 2014. She then moved to Stuart.
She was united in marriage to Larry Stahl on July 2, 1977. Together they became the proud parents to Janet.
She leaves behind her husband, Larry; daughter, Janet Leuze; grandchildren: Tony Bennett Jr., Cassady (Bennett) Utterback and Race Bennett; step-grandchildren: Dustin West, Heather Emehiser and Bethany Emehiser; four great-grandchildren; siblings: Larry, Danny (Kandy), Gary Sr. (Nancy), Lessly; several nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and “adopted children” that will miss her dearly.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Bonnie May and Earl Cassady; siblings, Bonnie Kay Belew, Jimmy Cassady, Ricky Cassady and Dolly May Rainer; nephew, Jason; and son-in-law, Troy Sterling.
