Obituary for Bill Jean Rustvold
Bill Jean Rustvold, 82, of Shreveport, Louisiana formerly of Audubon, passed away May 29, 2020 at the Heritage Manor Stratmore Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Shreveport, Louisiana. Visitation will be held from 1:00 2:00 P.M. Saturday, July 18, 2020 at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Audubon. A Celebration of Life will be held 2:00 P.M. Saturday following the visitation at the church. Burial will follow the service in Maple Grove Cemetery in Audubon. A luncheon will be held at the church following the burial. Bill Jean Rustvold was born May 12, 1938, the son of Roy P. and Vernie Irene (Fry) Rustvold in Audubon County, Iowa, and died on May 29, 2020, at Heritage Manor Stratmore in Shreveport, Louisiana.
He was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran Church, Missouri Synod. Bill attended Audubon Community Schools, graduating with the class of 1957.
Bill was united in marriage with Connie Lee Campbell on June 24, 1967, in Adair, Iowa. He worked many jobs over his lifetime. Bill was employed at Schmidt’s Ready Mix as a brick layer and several janitorial positions, including Audubon Super Value, the Friendship Home and Marcus High School in Flower Mound, Texas. He also spent many years doing lawn care and snow removal for many Audubon residents. Bill was a loyal St. Louis Cardinal fan, almost never missing a game on TV.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his step father, Carl Frederiksen; a young brother, Bernard Rustvold and sisters-in-law, Mary Jo Rustvold, Loretta Rustvold, Jolene Rustvold and Marge Heath.
