Obituary for Christopher Charles Draman
Christopher Charles Draman, 24 of Des Moines, Iowa formerly of Casey, passed away Friday August 13th, 2021, at his home. Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 9:00 P.M. Thursday, August 19th, 2021, at the Johnson Family Funeral Home & Crematory – Stuart Chapel. Funeral Services will be held 11:00 A.M. Friday August 20th, 2021, at the Casey United Methodist Church in Casey, Iowa. Burial will immediately follow the services in Dalmanutha Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Christopher Draman Memorial Fund and may be sent in care of Johnson Family Funeral Home, PO Box 246, Stuart, Iowa 50250. Chris was born September 13, 1996, to Raymond E. and Charlotte M. (Stone) Draman. He grew up in Casey, Iowa and graduated from Adair-Casey High School with the class of 2014. During high school, Chris participated in track, baseball and was named 1st team all-state offence in football. He worked for Jensen and Son Construction Company, Zimmerline Mowing Service, Zipp’s Pizza, Food Bank of Iowa and was currently a 3rd year journeyman for Tri City Electric in Des Moines. When he started his electrical apprenticeship, it was then he found his passion in life. He loved learning the electrical trade and was a proud member of the Local 347. Chris enjoyed riding motorcycles, working on the house he had just purchased and spending time with his family and friends. His biggest love was his niece and nephews. During his life he has lived in Casey, Ankeny, and Norwalk before making his home in East Des Moines.
He is preceded in death by his father, Raymond Draman in 2012, grandparents, Harold and Vivian Stone and Loren and Elaine Draman and one uncle, Bob Draman.
Chris leaves behind to cherish his memory, his beloved mother, Charlotte Draman of Casey; siblings, Daniel (Sarah) Draman of Casey, Iowa and Megan (Daylan) Kleen of Atlantic, Iowa; niece and nephews, Kacen Draman, Kooper Kleen, and Myla Draman; aunts and uncles, Carol Andrade of Centerville, Virginia, Gary Draman, Roger Draman, and Ron Draman all of Casey, Iowa, Kenneth (Darla) Stone of West Des Moines and David Stone of Des Moines. He will be missed by special friends Jeremy Vanbuskirk and his girlfriend Abby Prince of Urbandale and Konnar Bogan of Urbandale and a host of other relatives and friends all of whom will miss him greatly.
