Craig Allen Cooper, 68, of rural Stuart, passed away February 26, 2020. A gathering of family and friends/visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. Monday, March 2, 2020 at the Johnson Family Funeral Home & Crematory in Stuart. Memorial Donation may be made to the Family and may be sent in care of Johnson Family Funeral Home, PO Box 246, Stuart, Iowa 50250.
Craig was born September 21, 1951 in Greenfield, Iowa to Richard Pearl and Belva Ann (Campbell) Cooper. He grew up on a farm south of Stuart and Graduated from Stuart High School with the class of 1969. He was united in marriage to Deborah Wolfe on December 26, 1969 in Van Meter and together they became the proud parents of two daughters, Tamra and Jennifer. Craig worked at Clarklift Company in Des Moines for several years before being employed at Herculift in Des Moines. Craig went back to work for Clarklift, where he then retired. Craig enjoyed stock car racing, working on cars, fishing, being outdoors, and playing in the band at the chicken coop on his farm. He also enjoyed kicking back and drinking an ice cold beer with his friends and family and had a love for taking care of his yard.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Belva (Campbell) Cooper.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his daughters, Tamra (Ernesto) Jurado and Jennifer Cooper; grandchildren, Andrea Toruno, Gabriella Toruno, Gracie Gaudet, and Sofia Jurado; great granddaughter, Ariana Villa; brother Richard “Steve” Cooper and a host of other family all of whom will miss him greatly.
