Devin Lee Means, 51, of Redfield passed away on Wednesday, August 31, 2022 at his home. Private family graveside service will be held at the Garner Cemetery in Bridgewater. The family will host a celebration of life tribute from 1-4 P.M. on Saturday, September 10th at the Redfield American Legion Hall. Online condolences may be left at www.johnsonfamilyfuneralhome.com.
Devin was born on December 16, 1970 to Jay and Iva Mae (Sheeder) Means in Greenfield, Iowa. He later moved to Audubon and Newton; graduating from Newton High School with the class of 1989. He later lived in Beresford, South Dakota, Spring Hill, Kansas, Maxwell, Winterset, Norwalk, Linden and lastly, Redfield. He worked for Henry Hansen Quarter Horses, Garst Seed Co., Principal Financial Group and Voya for 21 years. He was a longtime member of the American Quarter Horse Association and was involved more than 20 years in the American Heart Association.
In his spare time, Devin enjoyed horse sales, softball and watching sports. Most of all he treasured time he was able to spend with his daughter, son and his many friends.
He is survived by his children, Melanie Means and Derek Means both of Norwalk; parents, Jay and Iva Mae Means of Redfield; siblings: Dan (Patty) Means of Baxter, Gwenda (Troy) Neuroth of Woodward and David (Melissa) Means of Bagley; special friend, Wendy Spainhower of Greenfield and a host of extended family and friends that will miss him dearly.
