Donnie as he was known by family and friends was born November 29, 1958 in Guthrie Center, Iowa to Edward and Martha Bancroft Moore. He was raised in Menlo on the family farm and attended Stuart-Menlo High School. Donnie was united in marriage to Lorie Combs on February 23, 1979 in Dexter, Iowa and together they became the proud parents of one daughter, Julia. After their marriage they lived in Menlo, Redfield and Dexter before making their home in Stuart in 1986. Donnie worked in construction all of his life and was employed at several construction companies in Des Moines prior to starting the Don Moore Construction Company in Stuart. He excelled in his business because he was particular as they come and was dedicated to doing the job right the first time. Throughout the years he counted on his right hand man, brother-in-law and best friend, Ronnie Hutchins. Donnie enjoyed bowling, hunting, fishing, and working with his equipment. His main enjoyment in life was his family and spending all the time he could with his grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Ed and Martha Moore, brothers, William and Carl Moore and sister, Della Rhodes.
