She attended White Union #4 rural grade school. After schooling, Dorothy moved to Mammoth, Illinois and was employed at Form Fit. While living in Mammoth, she met her future husband Frank William Moser. They were later married on July 14, 1956 in Mammoth. To this union four children were born, Jay, Carl, David, and Regina. After their marriage they lived on Military bases with Frank being in the United States Air Force, moving to Blytheville, Arkansas to Florida and once Frank retired they made their home in Casey.
