Dylan was born on November 4, 1993 at Methodist Hospital in Des Moines. He grew up in Stuart and attended West Central Valley High School, graduating with the class of 2012. While in school Dylan was selected as a youth ambassador for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, which was an organization that always held a place in his heart. Following high school, he began working in an apprentice program with Local 234 as a heavy machine operator. He was last living with his fiancé, Jessica Grier in Des Moines.
Dylan loved being outdoors. He was an avid shooter, where he spent many days hunting and fishing with family and friends. He lived his short life to the fullest. His greatest attribute was his ability to make friends with anyone in any situation, never meeting a stranger. His biggest joy came from spending time with his friends and family, especially his nieces and nephews: Bridget, Natalie, Cory and Alanna. He always brought joy to all those that were around him and always had a smile on his face.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Kenneth Wayne Allsup; uncle, Brian Allsup and cousins, Megan Allsup and Christopher Allsup.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his fiancé, Jessica Grier of Des Moines; parents, Christie Watson of Menlo and Randy Allsup (Tammy Doherty) of Stuart; sister, Katie Watson of Stuart: brothers, Tyler (Elizabeth) Allsup of Stuart, Josh (Katelyn) Grier of Des Moines, Drew Grier of Des Moines; maternal-grandparents, Becky O’Brien of Stuart and James Watson of Menlo; paternal-grandmother, Rita Allsup of Stuart; parents-in-law, Wendy and Jim Grier of Des Moines; uncles: Robby Watson (Toni Parkins), Brett Watson, Curt (Mary) Hines, Kevin (Tammy) Allsup, Danny Allsup, Scott (Jane) Allsup; aunt, Penny (Lloyd) Allsup; nieces and nephews: Bridget and Natalie Allsup, Cory Tomlinson, Alanna Grier; “brothers from another mother”: Josiah Queener, Sean Renslow, Cameron McCanlies; and a host of other family and friends that will miss him dearly.
