Jim worked for 10 years at Armstrong Tire in Des Moines. At Armstrong he developed several friendships that lasted a lifetime. Jim continued to farm throughout his life; taking pride in his families Century Farm. He loved the outdoors; especially hunting, trapping and fishing. Most of all he treasured time he was able to spend with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; siblings: Joe H. Clausen, Ben Clausen and Zelda Paulin; and son, John Clausen.
He leaves behind his loving wife, Vivian of Dexter; children: the late John Clausen and wife, Cindy of Kansas City and their children: Eric, Jeff, Josh and Adam; Cindy Clausen of Earlham and her daughter Johanna; Dan Clausen and wife, Sheila of Salem, OR and their children Adriana, Richard and Kelsee; Joe Clausen of Knoxville; many great-grandchildren and a host of extended family and friends that will miss him dearly.
