James W. Love Jr., 81 of Redfield passed away from complications of Parkinson's Disease on Monday, December 20, 2021 at Winterset North Care Center. Funeral service will be held at 2 P.M. on Thursday, December 23rd at the Johnson Family Funeral Home – Stuart Chapel. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Jim was born on November 25, 1940 to James and Lola (Cave) Love at the family home in Redfield. He grew up in Redfield with his five siblings graduating from Redfield High School with the class of 1959. While in school, Jim excelled at track and field. Following graduation he began working; most of his working years were spent as a journeyman mechanic and frame man for International Harvester. On January 25, 1969 he was united to Lynn Caldwell in Omaha and they were the proud parents of: Chris, Tony, Wendy, Bill and Crystal. The couple made their home north of Redfield. In his spare time, he enjoyed bowling, fishing, hunting and listening to old country records.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers: Butch and Ron; and nephew, Clinton.
He is survived by his loving wife, Lynn; children: Chris (Julie) Love and their children: Joe and Seth, Tony Love and his children, Tonya, Austin and Mya, Wendy (Bill) Clark and their daughters, Tabatha and Tiffany, William Love and his children: Elijah, Starlette, Christian, Autumn and Isaiah, and Crystal (Lance) Scott and their children: Natasha, Preston, Chelsea and Zackery; great-grandchildren: Grayson, Ayden, Skylar, Colton, Katie, Evan, Ethan, Aiden, Audri, Trenton, Brylan, Addaline, Willow, Aubree, Zoey, Oliver, Stella, Jase, Kyler, Nevaeh Peyton and Hadleigh; sister, Mary Barker, brothers Ed and Gary Love and a host of extended family and friends that will miss him dearly.
