Obituary for Joseph Wayne Moore
Joseph Wayne Moore, 56, of Casey passed away on October 2, 2018 at his home. Visitation will be from 6-8 PM on Thursday, October 4th at the Johnson Family Funeral Home in Stuart. Memorial service will be held at 10:30 AM on Friday, October 5th at the Johnson Family Funeral Home in Stuart. Luncheon will follow the service at the Casey United Methodist Church. Memorial contributions may be directed to the Joe Moore Memorial Fund, to be designated by the family at a later date. Online condolences may be left at www.johnsonfamilyfuneralhome.com.

Joe was born on November 22, 1961 to Edward and Martha (Bancroft) Moore in Iowa City, Iowa. He was raised in Menlo on the family farm and attended Stuart-Menlo High School. Joe was united in marriage to Glenda Sue Keating on September 6, 1986 in Casey. To this union two children were born: Justin and Allison.

Joe honorably served in the United States Army during the Gulf War. During his time in the service he was stationed in Germany and Georgia. Following his discharge in 1994, the family moved to Casey. He worked at Cardinal IG in Greenfield for 25 years. In his spare time he enjoyed working on cars with his daughter, Allison and spending time with family and friends. Joe never knew a stranger and would always lend a hand to anyone in need.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers: William, Carl and Donnie Moore and sister, Della Rhodes and sister and brother-in-law, Margaret and Ray Grady.

He leaves behind his loving wife, Glenda of Casey; children, Justin Moore of Casey and Allison (Mike) Eicher of Des Moines; siblings: Ellen (Dave) Foster of Norwalk, CA, George (Nancy) Moore of Panora, Mary Belzer (Melvin) of Peoria, AZ, John (Liz) Moore of Stuart, Tom (Jan) Moore of Cedar Rapids, Mike (Carol) Moore of Menlo, Christine (Greg) Miller of Cherry Valley, IL and Jim (Kathy) Moore of Corning; sisters-in-law: Lorie Moore of Stuart, Virginia Moore of Garwin and Carla Moore or Del Rio, TX; and a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and extended family and friends that will miss him dearly.
