Obituary for Kathryn Joan "Pat" Donnelly
Kathryn Joan “Pat” Donnelly, 81, of Stuart passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her family. Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. Wednesday, November 30th at the All Saints Catholic Church in Stuart where a rosary service will be held at 7:30 P.M.. A Mass of Christian Burial Service will be held at 10:00 A.M. Thursday, December 1st at the All Saints Catholic Church. Burial will follow the services at Calvary Catholic Cemetery. Memorial Contributions may be made in Pat’s name to the Stuart Community Care Center and/or the All Saints Catholic Church and may be sent in care of Johnson Family Funeral Home – Stuart Chapel. Pat as she was known by family and friends was born February 7, 1935 to Jesse and Mildred Alice (Thompson) Coldiron. She was a lifelong resident of Stuart and graduated from Stuart High School with the class of 1954. She was united in marriage to Edward John Donnelly on September 11, 1952 in Stuart and to this union four children were born, Dennis, Randy, Tom and Alice. Pat worked at Nepolous Law Firm in Dexter. She also worked in the kitchen at the Stuart-Menlo High School and in the bakery at Al’s Super Value in Stuart. She retired in 2014 after many years at the Hartman Law & Accounting Firm in Stuart. Pat was a member of the Firebelles in Stuart, American Legion Auxiliary, Altar and Rosary Society and a longtime member of the Stuart Community Care Center Board in which she thoroughly enjoyed. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, crocheting, and lending a helping hand to anyone who needed it. Grandma Pat as she was affectionately known by many in the area also enjoyed spending time with her family especially her grandchildren, great grandchildren and many extended family members.
Pat is preceded in death by her parents, Jesse and Mildred Coldiron, siblings, Wandell Owens, Wanita Christensen, Ellen Huff, Richard Coldiron, Jim Coldiron and Joseph Coldiron, brothers-in-law, Jack Hansen and Verle Christensen and one sister-in-law, Dorothy Christensen.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her beloved husband, Ed Donnelly of Stuart; children, Dennis (Donna) Donnelly, of Dexter, Randy Donnelly of Stuart, Tom (Christy) Donnelly of Earlham and Alice Karas of Lincoln, Nebraska; grandchildren and great grandchildren, Troy (Kasey) Donnelly, Trent Donnelly, Trevor Donnelly, Kiley (Florin) Rotari, Cody (Abbey) Donnelly, Chad Donnelly, Danielle (Bobby) Taylor, Paige Donnelly, Brenden Donnelly, Olivia Donnelly, Adrian Rotari and Gabriel Rotari and another great granddaughter that Pat nicknamed Pea Pod on the way; sister, Sue Hansen of Colorado; borther-in-law, Bob Huff; sisters-in-law, Jacqueline Coldiron and Dorothy Owens and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends all of whom will miss her greatly.
