Kurtis Gustaveson, 29, of Perry passed away late on Wednesday, April 19, 2023. Celebration of life service will be held at 2 P.M. on Wednesday, April 26th at the Historical Saints Center in Stuart. Kurtis was born on October 26, 1993 in Des Moines, Iowa. He grew up in Dexter and attended West Central Valley Schools. While in school he played baseball and wrestled. He graduated with the class of 2012. He began his career in dirt work, opening his own business in 2022.
Kurtis was united in marriage to Sara Rubin on September 17, 2022. The couple is expecting their first child Holden and Kurtis was very excited to become a father. In his spare time, loved to be outdoors with his friends and family boating, riding horses, and golfing.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather, John Combs; brother, D.J. Parker; and cousin, Gregg Shattuck.
He is survived by his wife, Sara Gustaveson; son, Holden Gustaveson; father, Roger Gustaveson; brother, Tyler Gustaveson; sister, Ashley Thorpe; grandmother, Judy Combs; grandfather, Robert Gustaveson; aunt, Carrie Gustaveson; and many extended family and friends.
Kurtis was loved by so many and touched more lives than can be counted. He will be missed every day and his presence will be felt for many lifetimes to come
