Linda Lou (Cummings) Strauser, 78, of Dexter passed away on Monday, January 20, 2025 at her home. Visitation will be from 2-3 PM on Friday, January 24th at the Johnson Family Funeral Home in Stuart. Memorial Service will be held at 3 PM on Friday, January 24th at the Johnson Family Funeral Home in Stuart.
Linda Lou (Cummings) Strauser, of Dexter daughter of Harold and Anna (Tiedeman) Cummings was born on March 31, 1946. She was the youngest of four, the only daughter. She grew up and raised her children in Iowa. She lived in Colorado, Missouri, and Oklahoma. She was married to Tony Kirkpatrick and had two daughters, Kimberly Ann and Debra Ann. She married Alvin (Gus) Strauser in 1989.
Linda was a hard worker, she waitressed at Stuart Truck Haven, factory worker at Fawn Engineering, and house-keeping at several hospitals.
Besides her parents, she was proceed in death by her husband, Alvin (Gus), daughter, Kimberly, brother: Marvin, Vernon and Norwin and her son-in-law, Paul.
Surviving is her daughter, Debra Algreen; grandchildren: Tiffany (John) Dunagan, Mike (Nikki) Algreen, Nick (Beka) Wolfe, Lindsey Harding, Alex (Lindsay) Wolfe, Riley Algreen.
Great grandchildren: Braylie, Liam, Jasper, Kellan, Leo, Anthony, Amelia, Valor(ie), Shiloh, Lachlan and Judah; and many nieces and nephews.
Linda didn’t know a stranger and loved to engage others in conversations especially about her grandchildren. She like to spend time chatting with her friends over coffee.
She passed away on Monday, January 20, 2025 in her home. She will be put to rest with her beloved, Gus.
