Obituary for Loren Francis Draman
Loren Francis Draman, 83, of Casey, Iowa passed away March 5, 2018 at his home in Casey. Visitation will be held from 2:00 to 4:00 P.M. Sunday, March 11, at the Johnson Family Funeral Home & Crematory in Stuart. A graveside funeral tribute will be held 10:00 A.M. Monday, March 12, in Dalmanutha Cemetery in rural Casey. Memorial contributions may be made to the Loren Draman Memorial Fund and may be sent to the Johnson Family Funeral Home, PO Box 246, Stuart, Iowa 50250. Loren was born May 2, 1934 to Oscar Raymond and Eathyl Faye (Jones) Draman in Stuart, Iowa. The family lived in Menlo up until Loren was 5, they then moved to Stuart. Loren grew up in Stuart and attended Stuart schools until going to work for Wilson’s Implement in Stuart. He also farmed, worked construction and was employed by Bassett Construction Company before working for Guthrie County and Adair County in the Road Maintenance Department. He was united in marriage to Letta Elaine Theurer on April 25, 1953 in Menlo, Iowa and to this union seven children were born. After their marriage, Loren and Elaine moved to Casey where they lived the remainder of their lives except a few years when they had moved to Greenfield. Loren enjoyed old tractors and steam locomotives. Farming was always a love though he never made it back to farming after he was hailed out. He also enjoyed spending time with his family, his many friends and especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Oscar and Eathly Draman, his beloved wife, Elaine in April 1, 2004, three sons, John, Raymond and Robert Draman and two siblings, Ardus Buffington and Wayne Draman.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his children, Carol Andrade of Centreville, Virginia and Gary, Roger and Ronald Draman all of Casey, Iowa; grandchildren, Ben Wright, Tony Wright, Matt Wright, Dan Draman, Chris Draman, Megan Draman, Shannah Draman Diamond, Joe Draman Ron Draman and Katie Draman; great grandchildren, Elizabeth Wright, Alexander Wright, Caroline Wright, Brodie Wright, Aubri Wright and Kacen Draman; siblings, Wava (Warren) Robinson of Lincoln, Illinois, Betty Koehlor of Winterset, Iowa, Marge Wiebenga of Dexter, Iowa and Ed Draman of Waukee, Iowa and a host of other relatives and friends all of whom will miss him greatly.
