Kathy as she was known by her family and many friends was born October 30, 1948, in Panora, Iowa to August and Isabelle (Fulks) Wild. At an early age the family moved to Redfield where she attended school. Kathy was united in marriage to Darell Christensen on June 4, 1965, at the Christian Church in Redfield, Iowa and together they became the proud parents of two daughters, Valerie, and Heather. Kathy started her working career at Parker Brothers in Des Moines and then had a long career with Meredith which later became NeoData and Hewlett Packard before retiring as a supervisor. Following her retirement, Kathy worked as a Home Health Aide at Country View Estate in Guthrie Center. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary in Stuart and served as their treasurer for many years. She was also an instrumental and founding member of the Guthrie County Veterans Memorial serving on the board until its completion. She was a member of the First Congregational Church which was a source and inspiration to her throughout the years. Kathy enjoyed the many get together she had within the church and enjoyed the many bible studies she took part in.
