Marvin Donald Taylor was born October 7, 1972, in Davenport, Iowa and passed away Sunday, September 1, 2024 in Des Moines, Iowa at 51 years of age. He fought a valiant fight against brain cancer but ultimately lost the battle.
Marvin grew up in Bettendorf, Iowa. Moved to Des Moines in 1998. There he met his wife, moved to Earlham, got married, and started and raised his family. He graduated from Pleasant Valley High School and Northland College with a BS in Wildlife Biology. He built his dream home and moved to live on his beloved land in 2022. He worked at Corteva (Pioneer) for over 20 years.
Marvin is survived by his wife of 23 years, Laurel, sons Maverick and Ty, mother Evelyn Minor, brother Mark (Renee) Taylor, sister Tammy Taylor, and nieces Mary Taylor and Madison (Steven) Teague.
Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, September 15th between 12pm and 4pm at the Sheraton, 1800 50th St, West Des Moines, IA 50266.
