Mary Kathryn was born on June 24, 1942, to Francis and Virginia (Lambi) Wagner at the family home. She was one of 10 children born to the marriage. Mary grew up outside of Stuart and graduated from Stuart High School with the “great” class of 1960. Mary was united in marriage to James Lonsdale on August 5, 1961, at the All Saints Catholic Church and together they made their home in Dale City just north of Stuart. Born to this union were Scott, Tracy, Lisa, and Marty. She was a homemaker most of her life taking care of the family and all tasks of the day-to-day life of a farm wife. She also worked for USDA, Immerson Orchards and her favorite job at Pieper’s Clothing. Mary was a ravenous reader and huge supporter of the local library. She loved watching football, especially her Pittsburgh Steelers. Always welcoming to everyone with a beautiful smile and genuine laugh to put one at ease. Mary would drop everything to spend an afternoon playing cards with her good friends and loved a feisty game of Aggravation with family. She and Jim enjoyed spending time with their large extended family.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Francis and Virginia Wagner, three siblings at birth, brother, Bill Wagner, sister, JoAnn Allman, and sister-in-law, Kathy Wagner Fitzgerald, brothers-in-law, Jerry Lonsdale, Jim Allman, David Waigand and Gene Fitzgerald.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her beloved husband, James Lonsdale; children, Scott (Cindy) Lonsdale of Stuart, Tracy (Edward) Mahlstadt of Stuart, Lisa (Dan) Sherman of Stuart, and Marty (Maureen) Lonsdale of Greenfield; Grandchildren: Megan, Allison, John, Tamara, Alicia, Julia, James, Phillip, Drew, Alex, Riley, Reba and Rose; 15 Great Grandchildren; siblings, Regina (Steve) James, Betty (Dan) Norman, Helen Waigand, and Patty (Phil) Bradley; sister-in-law, Mary Jo Lonsdale and host of other nieces, nephews, cousins and friends all of whom will miss her greatly.
