Obituary for Norma Jean Pryor
Norma Jean Pryor, 76 of Montezuma formerly of Earlham passed away on Sunday, March 7, 2021 at Montezuma Specialty Care Center. Graveside funeral services will be held at 1 P.M. on Thursday, March 11th at the Earlham City Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be directed in Norma’s name to the Easter Seals and/or Care Initiative Hospice. Online condolences may be left at www.johnsonfamilyfuneralhome.com.

Norma was born on April 17, 1944 to Ivan and Darlene (McClurg) Pryor. She grew up on the family farm south of Earlham. She attended Earlham Community Schools. After spending many years on the farm she moved to New Hope in Carroll and later to a group home in Glidden until her health forced her to spend the last two years at the care center in Montezuma. Norma loved Christian music, playing different exercise activities and loved cats and dogs from her time on the farm.

Norma was preceded in death by her parents and grandparents.

She leaves behind her sister, Karen (Paul) Horman of Iowa City; niece, Kimberly (Jerry) Szabo of Mt. Prospect, IL and their daughter, Avery; niece, Heather (Jason) O’Kane of Columbia, SC and their children, Andy and Katie; and a host of friends that will miss her dearly.
