Obituary for Paul Clark Williams
On September 24, 2020 Paul joined his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ at the Eastern Gate of Heaven.
Paul was born January 1, 1927 in Adair County at his grandparent’s home to Mary Jane Johnston Williams and Clark Williams. He was the middle son of three boys. Paul graduated from Stuart High School before entering the US Army where he served in Germany during WWII. Following his service in the armed forces he returned to Adair County where he farmed from 1947-1984. In March of 1950, Paul married Denelda Miller and to this union five daughters were born: Willie Jo, Jeri Le, Roxie Lynne, Keri Sue and Davee Lou.
Paul worked at Stanzel Christian High School for many years and helped organize Revival Tent Crusades in his community while living in Iowa. In 1980 Paul and Denelda moved to Oklahoma where they served at the Go Ye Mission from 1980-1987. Paul and Denelda moved back to Iowa at the end of 1987 and in 1989 Paul returned to farming when they moved to Warren County.
Paul was preceded in death by his two brothers, grandparents, parents, his wife Denelda, two daughters Willie Jo and Davee Lou and two grandchildren. Left to cherish his memory are his daughters, Jeri Le Henry, Roxie Lynne Cox, and Keri Sue Lamberson; four sons-in-law, 12 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, two sisters-in-law, and many friends.
Paul wishes that all who read his obituary will put Jesus Christ first in their lives and be ready for heaven when God calls them. John 14:1-3 “Do not let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God and trust also in me. In my Father’s house are many rooms; if it were not so, I would have told you. I am going there to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am.”
Memorial donations can be made to Samaritan’s Purse and Freedom Fellowship Church of Indianola. Online condolences may be left at www.johnsonfamilyfuneralhome.com.
