Sandra McCauley, 83, of Waukee formerly of Redfield passed away on Sunday, August 20, 2023 at the Taylor House Hospice in Des Moines. Visitation will be from 10-11 A.M. on Friday, August 25th at the Redfield Christian Church. Memorial service will begin at 11 AM on Friday, August 25th at the Redfield Christian Church. Luncheon and time of fellowship will follow the service. Services will be live-streamed on the Johnson Family Funeral Home Facebook Page (www.facebook.com/JohnsonFamilyFH). Sandy was born on June 16, 1940 in Lake City, Iowa to Harry and Bernadine Haubrich. She attended her early school years at Hickory Grove Country School and graduated in 1957 from Redfield High School. She worked at a variety of jobs but retired in 2004 from Dallas County after 24 years of service. She was a member of the Redfield Legion Auxiliary, past board member of the Redfield Library, Dexfield Questers #604, and a lifetime member of the Redfield Christian Church where she was a deacon.
Sandy was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Roger McCauley and step-daughter, Joleen Rainier.
She is survived by her sons: Mark (Lynn) Madren of Redfield and Matt Madren of Hayden, CO; step-son, Mike McCauley of Dallas Center; step-daughters, Jamie Armstrong of Dexter and Misti Coenen of Osceola; grandsons, Tony Madren of Redfield and Devin Madren of Hayden, CO; step-grandsons, Kris Orr and Casey Armstrong both of Des Moines; great-grandchildren, Bria and Brynn Madren; three step-great grandchildren; and a host of extended family and friends that will miss her dearly.
