Scott A. Hartman, 62, of Menlo passed away on Thursday, July 6, 2017 at his home in Menlo. Time of fellowship and luncheon will be held at 11 AM on Thursday, July 13th at the Menlo Community Building. Burial will be at Rose Hill Cemetery in Menlo. Memorial contributions may be directed to the Iowa Cancer Society and sent in care of Johnson Family Funeral Home, PO Box 246, Stuart, Iowa 50250. Scott was born on July 28, 1954 to Donald and Delores (Scott) Hartman in Boone, Iowa. He grew up in Boone, Bondurant and lastly the family settled in Des Moines. He worked as a truck driver for many years driving a dump truck and cement truck. He was united in marriage to Janet Miller on October 29, 1989. The couple lived in Des Moines before moving back to Janet’s hometown of Menlo. Scott enjoyed collecting rings, fishing, and motorcycle memorabilia.
Scott was preceded in death by his wife, Janet; parents; step-son, Brandon Olson and brother-in-law, Larry Guisinger.
He leaves behind his son, Doug (Chris) Hartman and his children: Tyler, Madeline and Morgan Hartman and his step-children: Matthew, Aiden and Cheyenne; daughter, Jessica (Bob) Williams; siblings: Sue (Brad) Stone, Mike (Trish) Hartman and Russell Hartman; sister-in-law, Shirley Guisinger; nieces: Allicia Hartman, Brandy Glick and Missy Jo Hartman; nephew, Randy Terrell; great nephew and niece, Evan and Emilla Hull; and a host of family and friends that will miss him dearly.
