***Services for Sue Raibikis will be livestreamed on our Facebook page www.facebook.com/johnsonfamilyfh
Sue Carol (Kent) Raibikis was born on June 18th, 1936 in Guthrie Center to John and Bessie (Kuster) Kent. In 1954, she graduated from Canon City High School in Colorado. She made her way back to Iowa and married Frances ‘Frank’ Raibikis on November 19, 1966 at All Saints Church in Stuart. The two raised their young family and worked on their farm together. Frank passed away in 1969 and left Sue to raise and care for her six children, a job that she cherished. Once her children were attending school, Sue began working at Ross Daniel as a line worker to provide for her family. She also trained to become a certified EMT, serving on the Panora Volunteer Ambulance Service for many years. She retired in 1998. During her retirement she enjoyed a number of activities including reading, planting in her garden and traveling to spend time with her family and friends out of state. Sue’s faith played a major role in her life; before COVID, she could be found at the Stuart Friendship Church every Sunday morning and attended weekly Bible study with her friends. She found grace and peace in her faith and wanted to share it with others. Sue would let everyone know that her family was the most important thing in her life. Every family member that asked would be told that they were her favorite and she meant it; she loved everyone immensely. Sue never missed a family get together and was so proud to share her family’s achievements.
