Obituary for Mary Kathryn Mueller
Mary Kathryn (Dolan) Mueller, 68 of Mitchellville, formerly of Stuart passed away on Thursday, January 30, 2020 at Taylor House Hospice. Memorial service will be held at 11 A.M. on Saturday, February 15th at the Johnson Family Funeral Home in Stuart. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Committal service will be held at Layton Township Cemetery in Walnut. Memorial contributions may be directed to the John Stoddard Cancer Center in Des Moines. Mary was born on October 16, 1951 to Wilbert and Kathleen (Johnson) Dolan in Greenfield, Iowa. She grew up in Stuart and attended St. Mary’s Catholic School and graduated from Stuart High School with the class of 1969. She later lived in Bondurant, Guthrie Center, Walnut, Newton and lastly Mitchellville. On August 29, 1987 she was united in marriage to Paul Mueller in Walnut, Iowa. Mary was blessed with three children: David, Marty and Melissa.
Mary worked most of her working career at Burns Brothers and lastly working in food service at Prairie Meadows. In her spare time she loved wintering in Texas, playing cards, and baking. Most of all she treasured time when she was able to spend at her grandchildren’s events.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Wilbert and Kathleen; husband, Paul; and sister, Phyllis Young.
Mary leaves behind her children: David (Michelle) Brunsmann of Moore, OK, Marty (Charity) Brunsmann of Newton, Melissa Iseminger of Dallas Center; grandchildren: Britton (Dana) Wilson, Kyle Brunsmann, Tucker Brunsmann, Teddie Brunsmann, Tess Brunsmann, Luxie Brunsmann, Jacob Iseminger, Jaron Iseminger and Jordan Iseminger; great-grandchildren, Landon and Logan Wilson; special friend, Larry Lafferty of Colfax; siblings: Ronald (Berdean) Dolan of West Des Moines, Stephen Dolan of Menlo, Carolyn Dolan of Bolingbrook, IL, Dan Dolan of Ankeny and Michael (Jami) Dolan of Edmond, OK; brother-in-law, Craig Young; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
