Obituary for Michael David Yandle
Michael David Yandle, 71 of Stuart passed away on Thursday, March 5, 2020 at the Stuart Community Care Center. Per his wishes cremation has taken place at Johnson Family Funeral Home & Crematory. Interment will take place at the Iowa Veterans Cemetery at a later date.

Michael was born on January 23, 1949 to Samuel and Helen (Simms) Yandle in Mecklinburg, North Carolina. He attended school in Columbia, South Carolina. Following high school, Michael joined the United States Navy and served from April, 1969 to January, 1973. He was stationed aboard the JFK-CVA 67. Following his discharge he lived in Yankton, SD, Badger, IA, Dexter, Iowa (Diamondhead Lake), and lastly in Stuart. He was a lifelong member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.

Michael worked as an over the road truck driver for several years and traveled to every state as well as making many trips to Canada. He enjoyed fishing and being outdoors and watching the races at the Stuart Speedway. He loved playing video games and watching movies. Michael adored his cat Morgen and often fostered cats from the Panora Animal Shelter.

He leaves behind two children Brian & Dana and a host of extended family and friends that will miss him dearly.
