Obituary for Beverly Zimmerman
Beverly Zimmerman, 89, of Stuart passed away on Monday, August 30, 2021 at MercyOne Medical Center in Des Moines. Per her wishes cremation has taken place and a celebration of life service will be held at a later date. Family burial will take place at Fairview Cemetery in Cainsville, Missouri. Beverly was born on December 18, 1931 to Grover and Grace Mae (Stockwell) Polley in Harrison County, Missouri. She grew up in Ridgeway and graduated from Ridgeway High School. On October 26, 1954 she was united in marriage to Alva Junior Zimmerman and to this union one daughter was born, Debbie. The couple made their home in Missouri before moving to Des Moines in the 60’s.

Beverly spent many years volunteering at the Mercy Hospital gift shop. She was a longtime member of the Indianola Heights Christian Church in Des Moines. In her spare time, she loved crocheting, crafts and spending time with her grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and all her siblings.

She leaves behind her daughter, Debbie Lester; granddaughters, Alesha Lester and Nadalie (Andrew) Forcht; great-granddaughters, Ryan and Bailey Forcht; and a host of extended family and friends that will miss her dearly.
