Michael Dean Burg, 67, of Adel, Iowa passed away December 31, 2021, at his home. A graveside service will he held 12:30 P.M. Friday, January 21, 2022, at the Iowa Veterans Cemetery in Van Meter. Full Military Honors will be rendered at the cemetery. Online condolences may be left at www.johnsonfamilyfuneralhome.com.
Mike was born September 11, 1954, in Des Moines, Iowa to Ivan and Delores (Berand) Burg. He was raised in Van Meter where he attended Van Meter High School. He was united in marriage to Linda Denin on May 4, 1974, in West Des Moines and to this union three children were born: Chad, Amber, and Steven. Following their marriage, they lived Waukee and De Soto be Moving to Adel. Mike enlisted into the army National Guard following high school and served for 22 years before retiring in 1995. He worked in the electrical field before being employed at Mrs. Clark’s Foods where he worked for many years before retiring from Quad Graphic Printing Company in Des Moines. Mike enjoyed fast cars, Harley Davidsons, hunting, fishing, and spending time with his friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Ivan, and Delores Burg.
Mike leaves behind, his children, Chad (Angie) Burg, Amber/Amy (David) Brockman and Steven (Abbie) Burg; grandchildren, Dusting Burg, Rebecca Burg, T.J. Wood, Noah Hegstrom, Ayden Wood, Shelby Burg, Nevaeh Wood, Ava Burg and Mason Burg and a host of relatives and friends all of whom will miss him greatly.
