Obituary for James Paul Mouser
James Paul Mouser, 80 of Dallas Center passed away on Friday, January 7, 2022. Per his wishes cremation will take place at the Johnson Family Funeral Home & Crematory in Stuart. Memorial contributions may be directed to Unity Point Hospice. Online condolences may be left at www.johnsonfamilyfuneralhome.com.

Jim was born on June 19, 1941 to Horace and Ruby (Gunning) Mouser in Granville, Iowa. He grew up in the Granville area. Jim owned and operated his own heating and cooling business for a number of years in Granville. On July 6, 1959 he was united in marriage to Phyllis Koehlmoos and to this union five children were born: Deb, Linda, Cheryl, Jim and Tim. After the kids were grown, the couple moved to Ankeny, Des Moines and lastly in Dallas Center for the last 30 years. In his spare time, he enjoyed buying and selling items and was known to be able to fix anything that was broken.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; one grandson; and eight siblings.

Jim leaves behind his children: Deb (Mark) Eveans, Linda (Jerry) Van Woudnberg, Cheryl Evans, Jim (Anna) Mouser and Tim (Dawn) Mouser; ten grandchildren; two step-granddaughters; six great-grandchildren; four step-great-grandchildren; brothers, Tom (Gisela) Mouser and Ron (Julia) Mouser; and a host of extended family and friends that will miss him dearly.
