Obituary for Lorena Elaine Clark
Lorena Elaine (Gibson) Clark, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on August 19th at the Stuart Community Care Center. Per Lorena's wishes cremation has taken place at the Johnson Family Funeral Home & Crematory - Stuart Chapel).

Lorena was born November 29, 1924 to Glen K. and Cecile (Witthauer) Gibson in Guthrie County, Iowa. She was raised in the Panora area and graduate from Panora High School with the class of 1942. Lorena was united in marriage to Willard Carl Clark on June 20, 1942 in Princeton, Missouri and to this union six children were born, Sandi, Jean, Dennis, William, Ellie and Robert. After their marriage they lived in Norwalk and Earlham before moving to a farm outside of Stuart where they farmed. They continued living on the farm until making their home in Stuart in 1964. They lived and worked in Stuart the remainer of their years. Lorena worked at the Ben Franklin Store in town until the fire in the early 2000’s she was also employed by the City of Stuart for several years. She enjoyed bowling, quilting, china painting with her friends and gardening. Lorena also enjoyed playing cards and casino hopping on her birthday. She was a member of the VFW, American Legion Auxiliary, the Red Hats Club and the china painting club in Stuart. Lorena was very proud of the fact that she won a blue ribbon at the Iowa State Fair with her china painting.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Glen and Cecile Gibson, her beloved husband, Willard on March 25, 1975, sister, Aldine Mobley and grandson, Kevin.

Lorena leaves behind to cherish her memory, her children, Sandi (Ed Scibert) Wahlert of Dexter, Jean (Gary) Jensen of Dallas Center, Dennis “Doc” (Sherrill) Clark of Winterset, William (Wendy) Clark of Adel, Ellie Wilson of Stuart and Robert (Rhonda) Clark of Winston, Missouri; 23 grandchildren, 51 great grandchildren; 20 great-great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and friends all of whom will miss her greatly.
