Obituary for Kenneth Brokaw
Kenneth E. Brokaw, 91, of Winterset passed away on Sunday, June 12, 2022 at Southern Hills Specialty Care in Osceola. Graveside service will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Friday, June 17th at the Winterset Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be directed to the Winterset VFW. Kenny was born on March 24, 1931 to Earl and Mable (Barton) Brokaw in Corning, Iowa. He grew up in Corning and attended Corning High School. Following graduation, he enlisted in the United States Air Force until his honorable discharge.

On May 18, 1959 he was united in marriage to Marjorie Smith in Valley, Nebraska. The couple made their home in Winterset where he remained the rest of his life. Kenny was a longtime member of the Winterset VFW. In his spare time, he enjoyed working outside, tinkering around the house and spending time with his dogs.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Marjorie; parents, Earl and Mable Brokaw and sister, Irene Crawford.

He is survived by several extended family and friends.
