Rosalie was born on December 13, 1927 to Harvey and Theresa (Neuwirth) Jirak in Marion County, Kansas. Rosalie was blessed to share a birthdate with her twin sister Rosemarie. The family moved to Iowa and settled on the family farm south of Stuart. On June 3, 1946 she was united in marriage to Robert “Bob” McGinnis at All Saints Catholic Church in Stuart. To this union three children were born: Donald, Marilyn and Carolyn. Rosalie took pride in helping Bob with farm work, especially raising chickens. She also worked several years as a cook.

Rosalie was a member of All Saints Catholic Church, Catholic Daughters, 4-H Club and several polka clubs. She enjoyed attending the Iowa State Fair where her and her sister Rosemarie won several contests for best twins. She also spent many hours tending to her garden.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Harvey and Theresa Jirak; her loving husband of 57 years, Bob McGinnis; twin-sister, Rosemarie Calway; brothers, Eugene Jirak and Leo Jirak; and sisters, Margaret Frick and Janeanne Barnett; and special friend, Russell Davis.

Rosalie leaves behind her children, Donald (Patti) McGinnis of Cheyenne, Wyoming; Marilyn (Bill) Morse of Windsor, Colorado; Carolyn (Craig) Menke of Fairfield, Ohio; grandchildren: Todd (Kristie) McGinnis and their children, Tanner and Tucker; Tammy (Jeff) Bayda and their daughter, Nicole; Jennifer McGinnis; Chris (Becky) Morse and their children, Kellicia and Connor; Jeannette (Rebecca) Morse and their son, Manny; several cousins and a host of family and friends that will miss her dearly.
