Beverley was born May 26, 1934, in Orient, Iowa, to Williard Elliott and Fern Pearl (Means) Burkheimer. She grew up in the Rosserdale area where she attended Grove #2 grade school and then graduated from Menlo High School with the class of 1952. Beverley was united in marriage to Laverne Tibben on March 29, 1953, in Dexter, Iowa, at the Zion Lutheran Church. Together they became the proud parents of three children, Deb, David and Glenda. After their marriage they moved to Boone before moving back to the Stuart area where they made their home for 60 plus years. Beverley was employed by the local telephone office in Stuart for several years before deciding to stay home to raise her family. Once her youngest was in high school, Beverley decided it was time to go to work outside the home again. She worked at the United Super Save, the Stuart Community School and Grannies Restaurant before retiring from Burger King. She was a 60 plus year member of the Zion Lutheran Church. She was baptized in 1949 in Grove Center, Iowa, and then confirmed on January 31, 1954. Beverley was also a lifetime member of the Stuart American Legion Auxiliary. She enjoyed gathering with her coffee group, gardening, square dancing, word puzzles, embroidering, playing the organ and piano, working with her flowers, playing pitch and spending quality time with her family.

She is preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Ivan and Albert Burkheimer, sister, Marceline Powell, and two brothers-in-law, Merle Tibben and Glen Powell.

Beverley leaves behind to cherish her memory, her beloved husband of 62 years, Laverne Tibben of Stuart; her children, Deb Walker (Tom) of Earlham, Iowa, David Tibben (Monica) of Stuart, Iowa, and Glenda Tibben (Rube) of Des Moines; Grandchildren, Allissa Johnson (Jerrod), Jessica Walker (Jeremy), John Tibben and Jared Tibben; Great Grandchildren, Cadence, Miles and one on the way; Sister-in-law, Marilyn Burkheimer of Ames; Brother-in-law, Leroy Tibben (Geneen) of Dawson and a host of nieces, nephews and friends all of whom will miss her greatly. (Arrangements: Johnson Family Funeral Home – Stuart Chapel).
