Jason was born on February 8, 1983 to Daniel and Donette (Heater) Guisinger in Des Moines, Iowa. He grew up in Menlo and attended West Central Valley Schools graduating with the class of 2001. While in school, Jason excelled in soccer, a love that continued on after high school. Following graduation he enlisted in the United States Marine Corps serving in Iraq. While enlisted he earned the following accolades: Rifle Sharpshooter Badge, National Defense Service Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Sea Service Deployment Ribbon, Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal (Iraq), Combat Action Ribbon (Iraq), Navy Unit Commendation and the Presidential Unit Citation-Navy. Following his discharge in October, 2007 he returned to the Des Moines area, spending the last five years in DeSoto.

Jason worked in auto sales for Shottenkirk Chevrolet in Waukee and later Karl Chevrolet in Stuart. He maintained a loyal customer base and was known for always having a smile and quick to lend a hand. He loved fishing, hunting, kayacking and could be best described as an explorer. He was a lifetime member of the Bow Hunting Association and loved being outdoors anytime he could. Most of all he treasured time he spent with his family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Daniel; paternal grandfather, Ross Guisinger and maternal grandfather, Calvin Heater.

Jason leaves behind to cherish his memory his loving mother, Donette of Grimes; sister, Kendra (Dennis) Allers of Grimes; nieces and nephews: Madi Allers and her son, Milo, Shae Allers, Trevone King and Ashlynn Allers; daughter, Lexi Wesselhoft; paternal grandmother, Gladys Guisinger; maternal grandmother, Margret Heater; beloved dogs Rio and Blu; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends that will miss him dearly.
