Lisa Lyn Huff, 51, of Des Moines passed away peacefully April 14, 2018 at the Iowa Methodist Medical Center surrounded by her family. A celebration of life will be held from 6:00 to 9:00 P.M. Friday, April 27th at Grace Church 4200 East 25th Street, Des Moines, Iowa 50317. Memorial contributions may be made to the Lisa Huff Memorial Fund. Lisa was born February 7, 1967 in Des Moines, Iowa to Norman Leland and Patricia A. (Maline) Saxton. Her youth was spent in Colorado where she attended Green Mountain High School in Lakewood, Colorado. Following she moved back to the Stuart – Menlo area and lived until moving into Des Moines. Her employment consisted of managing a hair salon, working in the billing and reimbursement department of Iowa Health and her favorite position of all was being a fulltime mom and grandmother to her children and grandchildren. Lisa was united in marriage to Jon Huff on November 11, 2000 and following their marriage they made their home in and around the metro area. Lisa took immense pride in being an Army Veteran’s wife. Lisa enjoyed coloring and keeping up with family and friends on Facebook. Her biggest enjoyment in life was her children, grandchildren and extended family. She was also an avid supporter of the LBGTQ community.
She is preceded in death by her father, Norman Saxton and several aunts, uncles and other family members too numerous to mention.
Lisa leaves behind to cherish her memory, her beloved husband, Jon of Des Moines; her children, Tyler (Bethany) Saxton, Erica (Jayson) Sears, Danielle (Anthony) Williams, Joseph Huff and Kaleb Huff all of Des Moines; grandchildren, Bianca, Brooklyn, Carter, Braxen, Kiefer and Reid; mother, Patricia Saxton of Des Moines; siblings, Shelly Buckley of Norwalk, Tereasa (Michael) Blades of Des Moines and Chad Saxton of Des Moines and all her cousins, nieces, nephews and friends all of whom will miss her greatly.
